Yes! Always make sure your pet has had a potty break before your scheduled appointment time, (no one likes to being pooped on!) We can also provide you with waste bags if needed, lets be respectful of our neighboring businesses!
Appointment duration will all depend on your pet's temperament, service being provided, age and coat condition. . Salon appointments we ask for a 3-4 hour time window (multi-pet family may take more time).
This will all depend on the breed but we like to keep all out clients on a 4-6 week grooming schedule. Wait any longer and your pet may develop matting.
We no longer offer mobile services. we stopped our mobile service in January 2023.
Please give us at least a 24 hour notice prior to your scheduled appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you do not give us notice before your scheduled appointment and you do not show up or are not home for the appointment we will consider it a No Show. No Show's will be charged a $50 inconvenience fee. Multiple No Show's will result in us no longer being able to groom your pet(s) and you will be taken off our schedule.
We will not de-mat your dog if there is extensive matting. Matted fur/hair decreases the airflow to the skin, which can cause infections and irritations to the skin, especially if there is urine/feces and/or nature trapped underneath the mat. Trying to brush or comb the matts out is dangerous and very painful. It can tug on the skin, cause tears, cuts and bruising. Our number one priority for your dog is their safety. It is in your pets best interest to shave and start the coat over. We will always contact the owner for permission before shaving.
Shaving may expose preexisting skin conditions, we will notify you if we see anything concerning before your pet goes home. But because we have to get close to the skin to remove the mats you may notice redness or even minor scabbing.
The best way to prevent matting is to make sure your pet is on a regular grooming schedule, every 4-6 weeks. Brush daily with a steel tooth comb, especially after playing or when their coat get's wet. We would be happy to show you how to property brush your dog and what tools to use.
